one fall of false
fake hair

tame my unruly
tresses with
the spiked hairpin
of forbearance

let fall my
small talk
fringe or bangs

add on two
boastful
bling bling
ear rings

then - for defense
cover myself with
my stole --

There -
I'm all dressed up
to go.
